Mobile Mammography Program

“On behalf of SBH Health System, I wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Beth C. Tortolani Foundation as it celebrates it's 20th year.”

The Beth C. Tortolani Foundation is a critical supporter of SBH's Mobile Mammography Program which provides breast health education, screening, treatment, and follow-up services to women throughout the Bronx regardless of their ability to pay or qualify for insurance. By providing direct access to timely screening and educational services that are culturally appropriate, our program strives to limit the incidence of breast cancer among women who are living in the Bronx. With the Tortolani Foundation's assistance, our program reaches more than 900 women annually.

 The Cancer Support Team

We thank the Beth C. Tortolani Foundation for supporting our free in-home nursing services to individuals and families living in lower Westchester County who are affected by breast cancer. As the only home care program in Westchester that is solely cancer focused and that offers services free of charge and without regard to insurance coverage, our staff members continue to be very busy as we strive to meet the increased demand for our services. In 2015 over 750 individuals and their families have been served with 2,467 in-person visits and a total of $27,000 was given in financial assistance to patients and families. Our hearfelt thanks for your support to ensure that our nursing services continue to be high quality and offered free of charge.

— Lucille Winton, RN, Director of Patient Services

This grant supports our “Customized Care Services for Breast Cancer Survivors” which provides free individualized support and education to women with breast cancer, their families and friends.
